9 Days from Tanger Fes Marrakech Casablanca
Day 1 : Tangier To Chefchaouen
Arrive in tangier airport/seaport, the capital of north Morocco you will be meet and welcomed by your private tour guide who will take you to your hotel/riad in chefchaouen where you will spend the first night.
Day 2 : Chefchaouen To Fes
in the morning after breakfast, you will visit Chefchaouen or Chaouen who was founded in 1471 as a small fortress by Moulay Ali Ben rashed this is known as «blue city» for its traditional buildings. It was under Spanish occupation and was emancipated in 1956. It offers many native handicrafts that are not available elsewhere in Morocco, such as woven blankets and wool garments. After lunch you will leave towards Fes through the rif mountains. Dinner will be inside a very nice riad in fes.
Day 3 : Fes Guided Tour
After your usual light breakfast you will meet your guide at the hotel/riad for a briefing before to start leading you to discovering one of the world’s largest walled in cities Fes medina. You will explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets, the tanneries and many other art objects of Morocco. For lunch you will eat in a traditional Moroccan restaurant in the heart of the medina, after lunch you will complete the tour to the outside of the medina in order to visit to the King’s Palace, the Jewish quarter and the potters.
Day 4 : Fes Volubilis Moulay Idriss Meknes
In the morning around 9.30 am, you’ll start the most popular day trips from Fes. Your first stop will be in the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Where you will spend the morning exploring the 2000-year-old ruins who was also declared as a world heritage in 1994. After that, we continue to Moulay Idris one of the holiest cities in Morocco, he comes from Iraq and arrived in 789, bringing with him the religion of Islam, and starting a new dynasty. After lunch, your tour guide will take you again to enjoy Morocco’s third Imperial city – Meknes who was the capital of Morocco under the reign of Moulay Ismail (1672–1727), including the famous square lahdim, Bab mansoor, moulay Ismail mausoleum and the stable of 12000 horses. You will return to Fes in the evening from another different road.
Day 5 : Fes Merzouga
Your early morning start will bring you through the Middle Atlas Mountains and into lush cedar forests. Enjoy a stop in dayet aoua the biggest lake in the beginning of the Berber area, Ifran a town often referred to the Switzerland of Morocco, and then continue through the cedar forests to meet with a Troup of [macac?] monkeys. We will stop for lunch in midelt then take a scenic drive through the Ziz valley before arriving in Merzouga. There, you can wash up at the hotel and after few minutes relaxing in the auberge you will mount your camels for a beautiful trek to your desert camp, enjoying dinner (cooked by your camel man) under the stars and spend the night in Berber tents.
Day 6 : Merzouga Ouerzazate
Wake up in the desert as the sun peeks over the dunes, and ride home, you will stop on top of the dunes to watch the best sun rise on your life. Once in Merzouga, enjoy a refreshing swim or shower and grab a light breakfast before hitting the road for the High Atlas Mountains! We will then head back to the Todgha Gorge where you will be free to explore the gorge (600 feet high). After lunch you will precede your drive on the road of a thousand Kasbahs where you will explore a few on your own or with a guide. Before arrive to your hotel/riad in ouarzazate you will have the option of visiting Morocco’s Hollywood, where Gladiator, Star Wars, and Game of Thrones has been filmed, and visiting the famous Kasbah of taourirt, or relaxing by the pool before dinner.
Day 7 : Ouerzazate Marrakech
After breakfast, drive through the high Atlas mountains towards Marrakech. You will start the journey on the visit of the very famous Kasbah Ait Ben haddou witch belonged to the Glaoui family the Pashas of Marrakech and stop in the highest point of tichka mountain to have a very nice panoramic view (2260 m high).then another stop at a local women’s’ collective specializing in Argan oil production and enjoy scenic vistas along the way.
Day 8 : Marrakech Guided Tour
After your usual light breakfast you will meet your guide at the hotel/riad for a briefing before to start leading you to discovering the red city Marrakech.
The sightseeing tour will cover several impressive sights: The Koutoubia mosque, Majorelle Gardens, Bahia Palace and Dar Si Said Palace museum of jewellery. Another half day walk through the colorful souks of Marrakech.
Enjoy a sunset mint tea drink and a dinner overlooking the exciting Jamaa El Fna Square from a terrace of a café.
Day 9 : Marrakech Casablanca Airport
Your last day of travel you will be transferred to Casablanca airport for departure.
